MANICure Monday: Black Tips

This week’s mani was inspired by a pic I came across on Pinterest from Ooooh, Shines! Blog. I decided to give it the old college try and recreate something similar. I started off by painting 2 coats of Essie’s Ms Smarty Pants. For my skin tone this is a great neutral.

Next I applied “Perfect Tips” french polish guide tape to the tips of my nails and placed a thin coat of black polish. After about 5 minutes polished the tips with a quick dry clear polish before I removed the tape.

Check out this cute alternative to a traditional French manicure.

    oh that is one of my pet peeves – chipping. Isn’t it all of ours though? I want to try the gel color but then again I am changing my color every few days anyhow, so why am I complaining haha

  Thank you! I wish more companies would realize that “nude” polishes don’t work on all skin tones and make a variety of them so I don’t have to go searching high and low. LOL
